Donald Trump lashed out at cryptocurrencies and rowed against the course of many of his Republican Party colleagues.
Former US President Donald Trump recently reiterated that he is not a fan of cryptocurrencies. At the same time, however, he spoke positively about former first lady Melania Trump’s recently announced NFT platform. “She will do great things,” Trump said of the NFT project in an interview with Fox News host Maria Bartiromo.
Look, I want a coin called the dollar, I don’t want all these other coins. That may one day cause an explosion like we’ve never seen before. The big tech explosion, on the other hand, will look like child’s play. I think this is a very dangerous thing.

Not all Republicans agree with Trump
In fact, Trump seems to disagree with many other members of his party. Examples include Senator Ted Cruz, who wants to attract more Bitcoin miners to Texas. Cynthia Lummis, known for her friendship with cryptocurrencies, is also a member of the Republican Party. It wasn’t until this fall that the Republican leader attempted the House Financial Services Committee (HSFC), Patrick McHenry, to establish incentives for token startups through a safe harbor provision.
